We shall miss him terribly and it seems so cruel we shall never have the pleasure of his company out in the hills again. RIP our good friend.

Walk Description
The Forestry Commission Car Park at Thrunton Woods just north of the access road to Thrunton Red House
From the Car Park the route heads out along forest tracks towards Wedderburn's Hole
A sad reminder that life can be cut short at anytime therefore live for the day
The glorious view over to The Cheviots from the Memorial Seat
Looking to the Cheviot Hills
Thrunton Crag
Approaching the round cairn on Hard Nab
Another glorious view over to The Cheviots
With Francis & Kim at Hard Nab round cairn - Fudge is yomping his lunch
Into the sun as we head to Long Crag which is up to the left
Looking back at our route over from Hard Nab to Long Crag
Once we hit the ridge we turned left and headed for the summit via a gently rising path through the heather
The final approach to Long Crag
The cairn on the summit of Long Crag
As is tradition, however Fudge had company on the top today - here he is with Francis & Kim.............
..........and with his Mum & Dad
A slate memorial on the summit of Long Crag
The Trig Point on the summit of Long Crag - we would now be heading to Coe Crags via the path to the left
The lovely escarpment transit to Coe Crags
Looking back to Long Crag
Coe Crags ahead
A boundary stone near Coe Crags engraved with "S" on one side and "A" on the other. I am unsure of the parishes to which they refer.
The short rise to Coe Crags
For very little effort the view from Coe Crags was superb
The summit of Coe Crags
Luckily the water in Coe Burn was clean
From Coe Burn a delightful track led us to the lane at Coeburn from where a half mile walk along the tarmac took us back to the Car Park
Got to watch where we were putting our feet or we would have done this little chap an injury
