Siabod Cafe, Capel Curig
There are several places to park in and around Capel Curig however if you ask nicely and use the cafe they will allow you to leave your car here for the duration of your walk. We had breakfast here before the start and a piece of cake on completion.

From the cafe the route turns right along the A5.
After a few hundred yards a turn off to the right an access track to the hostel gives access to the open hillside.

After walking up the track to the hostel a gate gives access to the hillside.
It goes without saying that if there are livestock around, no matter how well your dog is trained then please put it on a lead.

This was delightful walking along a very good path
As we made our ascent of Crimpiau we looked back down our outward route which comes in from the right.

Beginning our descent back down to Capel Curig from Clogwyn Mawr.
Despite the dreariness of the day this was still a lovely walk and one to be repeated in better visibility.

Back down in Capel Curig the route exits the hillside at the junction of the A5 & A4086.

After a walk along the A5 pavement for half a mile the Siabod Cafe is reached.
