Route Map
Angie unavailable today therefore Fudge and I were joined by Lee, a good friend of ours who runs Mountain Peak Walking
Lee texts his Missus before the start to see if he is allowed a beer after the walk - meanwhile Fudge looks on from the comfort of the back of the car
Heading up Chapel Gate with Rushup Edge ahead
The Peak District signage - we were off to Mam Tor
The Round Barrow on Lord's Seat, Rushup Edge with Mam Tor distant
Continuing along Rushup Edge looking to Mam Tor. The road seen snaking its way up leads to Barber Booth & Edale
Reaching the road it is crossed to head up the flagged path on the other side which leads to Mam Tor
Looking back to Rushup Edge from the Mam Tor path
The summit of Mam Tor
The Great Ridge stretches away in front of us to Back Tor & Lose Hill
Mam Tor from near Hollins Cross (and a large party of noisy school children)
The steep ascent to Back Tor
Looking back along the Great Ridge to Mam Tor & Rushup Edge
The summit of Back Tor
The rain was pelting down now as we arrive at Lose Hill - time to get down I think
The descent to Hope
The answer is "No"
No comment Lee - I'm staying put until you are over the other side
I had to buy it - cheers for your company today Lee
