Summit of Green Gable, Lake District - October 2015
We are the Masarnen Ramblers aka Dave & Angie Walsh and our dog Fudge. Having both recently retired from long careers in the Royal Navy, we now seek a gentler pace of life than that endured before. We are both very keen mountain walkers, canoeists and enjoy keeping fit. We love nothing more than getting out and about in the mountains & fells near our home in Cumbria. We also like to travel the length and breadth of the UK to seek out other lovely walks - after all it is a great excuse to drink real ale and eat lots of cake!
When my Mum & Dad retired they had always intended to bring a dog into their lives. Therefore, in October 2012 they travelled down to Okehampton in Devon to collect me - an 8 week old bundle of mischief, a Chocolate Working Cocker Spaniel called Blatchford Little Fudge – or Fudge as I am more commonly known. I love being out in the hills and I have already climbed all 214 Wainwrights. I am a little chocolate monster although I do not know what that means and my hobbies are chasing my ball, swimming in any coloured water, eating the landscape and cuddling my Mum & Dad. I absolutely love my walkies and completed my first Long Distance Path, The Dales Way in May 2014 and in 2015 I completed The Pennine Way. In 2016 I completed Wainwright's Coast to Coast from one side of England to the other. In 2017 I walked the entire South West Coast Path - 630 plus miles and in 2018 I had a bit of a rest and only walked The Cleveland Way & Tabular Hills - ha, ha. My Mum & Dad are planning to take me with them on Wainwright's Pennine journey in 2019.
Phew, I am a busy pooch.
Luv from Fudge
